France Defeats Italy 2-0

France defeats Italy 2-0 in the 2006 FIFA World Cup Finals.

That's my conjecture.

Tomorrow night, we will see if this headline comes true, or if I just pulled a "Chicago Tribune" with their infamous Dewey Defeats Truman 1948 headline.

I am unbiased either way. I cherish and congratulate our Eclipse fan base in both France and Italy.

Wassim, where have you been? I met with some other Germans in Little Italy and it was just amazing. :) Whole College St. was closed and full of people.

Gunnar, I was down at College. You didn't see me? ;)

The camera shot of Zidane walking past the trophy and into the locker room was very sad.

I thought it was going to be 1-0 with France beating Italy. Glad I wasn't the only one who was wrong.

I am disappointed France lost, but even more so to see Zidane retire on that note.

I am dying to know what Materazzi said to Zidane to provoke him like that...

What I thought he said was:
"You're never going to be an Eclipse committer".

The media reports that he might have said:
"That PDE guy is so much better soccer player than you" :)

Anyway, it was a great game to watch.
